Jeremy why not call Nina and check with her? I take it you haven't spoken to either candidate?

Hello Jeremy. I know, given there are two candidates, it's a lot to reach out to the other one to find out exactly what they stand for before issuing endorsements but on my candidate statement I make it super easy to contact me. That is literally my cell phone and email on there. You could also just knock on my door on Windstream Drive. My house is the one with the signs that say Kat Uy for CA rep. Look forward to hearing from you. I know this is a blog but if you'd like people to actually believe there is journalistic integrity in your reporting, you should give fair attention to the opposing candidates in these races before endorsing. Just my two cents! :)

Great update - thank you. Any ideas on how to help Inner Arbor Trust get moving on the park project? It’s such a good idea - would love to see it come to fruition.

Would love it as well! Just not sure how they are gonna get the funding.

Re: IAT What I heard was that it wasn’t even IAT’s water bill, that IAT actually paid it anyway, and that Symphony Woods was never in danger. I believe that Nina Basu, the President and CEO of IAT sent a letter to the IAT Board of Directors as well as the Columbia Association’s (CA) President and CEO correcting the record.

Also Jeremy did you interview Kat and Jarad before making your decision?

If you have the IAT letter, can you post it here as a comment?

Re: CA elections, I served on the HR village board with Jared for a year and was turned off when he insisted the village board adopt a resolution on Israel/Gaza. I have also seen a false misleading flyer that Kat is circulating around WL that has soured me on her ability to be a good CA board member.

What exactly is false on it? Please be specific. I have had this thrown at me now a couple of times with no evidence.

I have a question for you. Have you any information about CA’s standoff with the Villages on the contract with each Village. Full disclosure, I am a now a Former Board member of Town Center Community Association.

Good question! There are two “standoffs” between the Villages and CA. One of the issues - management of village facilities- I wrote about last month. I haven’t tackled the other issue on the contracts. As a former village board member myself, I think villages boards should be advocating for whatever is in the best interest of their own village (a bigger piece of the pie), but I think CA needs to think Columbia wide and ensure village allocations are made in a way that is fair to all Columbia residents.

The Villages are and have been advocating and 8 want to continue negotiations. They have been quite clear at Board meetings and letters to CA and the Board. They are a group of respected Village leaders.
